"As a physician who works in the dementia field, I am often frustrated by comments that "there is nothing that you can do." That couldn't be farther from the truth. The Whitworth's give you the tools to help manage the disease and its effects on the person suffering with it and those around that person."

"Managing Cognitive Issues provides a broad overview of the disease and techniques for management that goes far beyond simple medication management. The Whitworth's insight and case-based approach to learning helps to make this book highly readable and helpful."

I've worked in the field of dementia care for over three decades and found I learned many new things from this warm, well written book. "Managing Cognitive Issues in Parkinson's & Lewy Body Dementia" is full of helpful and insightful information. Thank you Whitworth's for adding an important resource about forms of dementia that don't receive as much attention as Alzheimer's. By: Karen Love
The "Must Read" reference book for every LBD caregiver. This comprehensive, practical, and well researched book provides background information and "rubber meets the road" advice that is essential for every Lewy Body Dementia caregiver to know. LBD is an overwhelming diagnosis. When it happens there are so many questions that need answers for the caregiver. This book is an excellent resource to provide many of those answers. It serves as an ongoing and reliable reference for the LBD journey. By: Pat137
A small investment with an enormous payoff!! I have been fighting the Lewy Body Dementia with Parkinson's battle with my husband for over a year now. There are two books that have been invaluable to me. One is Pat Snyder's Treasures In The Darkness and the other is this "Lewy Bible" by the Whitworths. My copy of this book is dogeared, bookmarked and highlighted half to death. When a new situation arises, I can go this the book and find an answer. The information is clear, concise, logical and practical. My husband's Neurologist said, "This book I highly approve of and I don't say that about most of the books written on the subject.". I hope someday to meet the author's, give them a heartfelt hug and thank them for the positive impact they've had in our journey with Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson's. By: J. Gagle
Informative, practical and necessary for anyone dealing with Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson's symptoms. When my husband was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia, I was in shock. The Whitworth's book has taken me out of a black hole of misinformation into the hopefulness of understanding what is REALLY going on here, and what can actually be done to make a better and more meaningful life for both the care partner and the person with the disorder. Step by step the book defines symptoms and provides practical information. There is also an excellent section on available Resources and Alternative Therapies. By: Amazon Customer
This was the first book I read when we began to suspect more than Parkinson's. Very calming for a new caregiver, left me feeling that I can do this, very informative. By: Granny Nanny
I have a few go to books on the LBD journey and the comprehensive gentle supporting guidance is invaluable. The Whitworths have written a book that touches on the personal side of dementia and staying positive along with the medical aspects. Definite must have for your library. By: Sandra Soon
